I call these Savory Biscuits because they do not need any gravy to make them edible. Most biscuits are so dry and hard that they have to be warmed and drowned in gravy to be any good. My recipe uses grilled veggies and shredded cheese to give them moisture and flavor. You can eat these anytime of the day just for the heck of it. They are fantastic warm but you can eat them cold. They are tender and flavorful. I only used flour, butter, salt, baking powder, sugar, grilled vegetables & shredded cheese. Bake them in a muffin pan so they can rise without sticking to each other. The walls of the pan also gives them that extra bit of crispiness. I made 15 of them this morning and I've eaten 2 already.
